Who we are
In November 2015, The City of Refuge Church purchased our current property which included the former Spinning Wheels Roller Rink. Spinning Wheels had provided a place for kids to have fun and build memories since 1961. In wanting to continue that legacy, we decided to reopen the skating rink as a ministry of our Church to the Youth and Families of Portage and surrounding areas.
OUR MISSION
is to provide a fun and safe place for the Youth and Families of Portage and surrounding areas. Let’s face it, in our day and age it can be a struggle to find healthy and positive activities for our kids. City Skate Center is helping meet that need. We try to keep everything fun and upbeat, from the music and games to the birthday parties and group activities, our goal is that everyone has a great time.
We are run completely on volunteer help which means every worker there loves to be there. We enjoy having thousands of kids, teens and families come through the Skate Center every season.
The Skate Center is open to the general public from the first weekend in October through the end of April, every Friday 6-9pm, Saturday 1-4pm. We hope to have you come build some memories with us!
Rink admission includes skate rental
$7.00 Admission, Includes Quad or Inline skates. No charge for adult Non Skating Chaperone.
We do offer Birthday party packages for $125. This includes 10 skaters, 10 drinks and 3 pizzas. Cake or cupcakes are permitted to be brought in. No other carry ins of any type are allowed.
